Connecting People with Nature

Charlotte’s Wood

Charlotte’s Wood is a place where people can connect with nature. It is a tranquil, privately owned woodland in the heart of rural East Anglia – large enough to lose yourself in but not large enough to get lost in!

ABOUT

Charlotte

Charlotte is an experienced headteacher and a qualified Level 3 Forest School practitioner and endorsed Forest School Association (FSA) trainer.  She provides leadership training and consultant support for schools, runs Forest School sessions and training and teaches adults how to Nordic Walk.  Charlotte has a diploma in Forest Bathing and runs Woodland Wellbeing sessions at Charlotte’s Wood.

What we do

Charlotte runs Forest School Taster Days, Level 3 Forest School Leader training and CPD for qualified practitioners, including the L2 Outdoor Food Safety qualification.

Charlotte is a practising Forest School Leader and runs weekly sessions of ‘Little Woodies’ for parents and toddlers, ‘Wild Wood Holiday Club’ for children aged 4-11 years and seasonal events for families.

Charlotte is a British Nordic Walking instructor and runs ‘Learn to Nordic Walk’ taster sessions, 1:1 classes and group courses at Charlotte’s Wood. She organises a weekly ‘Fitness Nordic Walk’ in Wilby and monthly ‘Health Nordic Walks’ at different locations around Suffolk and south Norfolk.

Charlotte is a qualified Forest Bathing guide and runs events and activities in the woodland and further afield to promote nature connection and well-being for adults.

WILD WOOD HOLIDAY CLUB

next holiday

If your child enjoys exploring and being outdoors, why not book them in for a ‘Wild Wood Holiday Club’ experience?  The club runs between 10am and 4pm (with an early drop off option from 9am) and is booked in blocks of 2 days.

LITTLE WOODIES

Friday mornings in term time

‘Little Woodies’ is a parent and toddler woodland play session. Using the principles of Forest School, sessions are semi-structured with opportunities for children to develop their understanding of how to keep safe, their knowledge of the woodland environment and their skills in making things from natural resources.

WEEKLY NORDIC FITNESS SESSION

Friday Afternoons at 1.30pm

Why not join us on Friday afternoons at 1.30pm for a weekly Nordic Fitness session? This may be either a walk around Wilby with Carol or a Nordic Fit session with Charlotte. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, get active and connect with others in a friendly, supportive environment.
