New Forest School Leader Skills Development Day
Wednesday 22nd April 2020This one day course is designed for new and more experienced Forest School Leaders who would like an opportunity to practice their skills, learn some new activities and games and share ideas with other practitioners. The day will be spent entirely outdoors so participants need to come dressed appropriately for the weather. Steel toe capped boots are recommended in case we need to harvest materials.
Course Programme
During the day there will be the opportunity to do various activities/ skills development which will be learner led but supported by the course leader. These could include:

There will be opportunities in the morning and afternoon to prepare a fire to heat a kettle or light a storm kettle to make drinks. Towards the end of the morning you could have a go at setting up a cooking fire and doing some campfire cooking. Throughout the day we will play some games that you may want to share with your groups.
You will need to bring
All tools, equipment and resources will be provided but participants are welcome to bring along ingredients and cooking equipment for any recipes that they would like to try out.
Refreshments will be provided but participants will need to bring their own lunch.

Cost: £50 per person (free for Level 3 Forest School students currently in training with Charlotte’s Forest School)
