Forest School Leader Skills Share Day
Tuesday 18th June 2024This one day course is designed for both new and more experienced Forest School Leaders as an opportunity to get together with other leaders to share ideas and experiences, practice your practical skills and take away some new activities and games to try out with your groups. The day will be spent entirely outdoors so you need to come dressed appropriately for the weather. Steel toe capped boots are recommended in case we need to harvest materials.
Course Programme
During the day there will be time for you to share something that you have used successfully at Forest School with the group. This could be a resource, a game or an activity. There will also be activities on offer for you to try and time for you to work on your practical skills. These could include:

There will be opportunities to prepare a fire to heat a kettle or light a storm kettle to make drinks or you could have a go at setting up a cooking fire and doing some campfire cooking.
You will need to bring
Please bring something to share! If it is an activity that involves resources, please bring enough for approximately 10 people to have a go. You might also want to bring along ingredients and cooking equipment for any recipes that you would like to try out. Tools and other equipment and resources for tutor-led activities will be provided.
Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.

Cost: £50 per person (free for Level 3 Forest School students currently in training with Charlotte’s Forest School)
